Backgammon is a historically rich and popular game that has been enjoyed for centuries. The game is believed to have originated in Persia and made its way to Britain during the Roman conquest in the 1st century. Although it was later declared illegal under the Republic due to its association with gambling, Backgammon remains a beloved pastime.
