Descripción:

Backgammon is a historically rich and popular game that has been enjoyed for centuries. The game is believed to have originated in Persia and made its way to Britain during the Roman conquest in the 1st century. It even gained popularity with Emperor Claudius, who had his carriage equipped with a playing board. Although it was later declared illegal under the Republic due to its association with gambling, Backgammon remains a beloved pastime.

In Backgammon Premium, players can experience the game's rich history through visually pleasing board designs such as Egyptian, Roman, Medieval, Victorian, Modern, and Classic. These designs add an aesthetic appeal to the gameplay, enhancing the overall experience.

The game offers two classic variations: "Old English" and Nackgammon. "Old English" is widely popular in England, while Nackgammon adds an extra level of challenge by promoting creativity and skill.

For those looking for multiplayer options, Backgammon Premium offers several features. Players can engage in live games against opponents worldwide through Game Center. The background match-making feature allows you to search for opponents while you play, ensuring a seamless and engaging experience.

Additionally, there are single-player games available with varying difficulty levels: Easy, Medium, Hard. An upcoming Expert player mode will provide players with a new level of challenge.

Other features include move-assist, which highlights available moves, unlimited "Undo" in single-player games, extensive game statistics to track your progress, and match support with options to play to 3, 5, 9, or 15 points using the Crawford Rule.

Backgammon Premium is highly recommended by MacWorld as a top download for iOS devices and received a glowing review of 9 out of 10 stars from Appaddicts.com. It was also nominated for "best dice game of 2009" in the Best App Ever Awards.
