Backgammon is a historically rich and popular game that has been enjoyed for centuries. The game is believed to have originated in Persia and made its way to Britain during the Roman conquest in the 1st century. It even gained popularity with Emperor Claudius, who had his carriage equipped with a playing board. Although it was later declared illegal under the Republic due to its association with gambling, Backgammon remains a beloved pastime.

In Backgammon Premium, players can experience the game's rich history through visually pleasing board designs such as Egyptian, Roman, Medieval, Victorian, Modern, and Classic. These designs add an aesthetic appeal to the gameplay, enhancing the overall experience.
